| There isn't a FAQ page for this forum, so I am asking for some basics.
I had a shady spot in my yard, where I had some hydrangeas growing fairly well. I wanted to add some ferns for filler between the hydrangeas. I purchased several ferns from a local native plant nursery last fall, primarily maidenhair (adiantum pedatum) with a couple Lady ferns (athyrium filix-femina). I kept them moist and mulched them heavy with shredded leaves before winter. So as spring approaches, is there anything in particular I should be doing to keep them alive, and promote good growth? |

| I figured they wouldn't need much care, once they were established. I am just hoping that survive the transplant. I am used to propagating the "prairie plants" that thrive on neglect. I was hoping the ferns would also. |
