| We just cut an old tree down. It has moss and lichens growing on the bark on the backside so I peeled some of it off. How can I keep it growing? I tried putting a few pieces on potting soil last year and they molded? |

| Mosses are fussy about the substrate they will grow on. The ones that grows trees often do not grow on soil. If it is still on the bark you could hang it up and spray it now and then will distilled water, or try attaching it to another tree or piece of bark. |
