Low Growing Selaginella

Jeffrey Schneider

Hello!

I am looking for a low growing (non-bushy) Selaginella.

I would like to use it as a ground cover for my terrarium but, most species I have purchased grow a bit too high.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Jeff

Try some of the prostrate tropical species but not S. kraussiana as it is a cool loving plant, unless your terrarium is a native cool growing terrarium. One way of helping the plant to grow low is to be sure to give it plenty of light otherwise they all tend to climb.
