Epiphytic Mosses

While attending the Pacific Orchid Expo last week I collected a big bag of 3-5 species of epiphytic mosses from my friend's property in Napa Valley (Angwin). When I returned to SoCal (Glendale) I used the live moss for mounting orchids and for a couple basket liners. I also used the blender technique and "painted" the moss all over the shady side of my tall tree which is covered in vascular epiphytes.

All the epiphytes I grow come from summer rainfall areas while the epiphytic moss comes from winter rainfall areas. Anybody have any idea whether any of the moss will survive? I'm guessing it won't because Angwin receives 40 inches of rain per year in the winter (not to mention frequent fog) while here we receive around 12-14 inches. During winter I water at most once a week.

Does anybody grow any epiphytic mosses from summer rainfall areas?
