| I see that you can grow the white bottom or portabella mushrooms in the box's(mail order) The question I have is do I need to buy the innoculated box? Can I buy the spores like I buy the seed? I have good compost and plenty of cardboard box's. |

| I'm surprised no one has answered this question. Yes you can start from spores but it is a little more complicated than planting seed. I'd suggest you look at fungi.com. They do sell everything you would need and books too. Not affiliated yada, yada. |
