What to plant?

I would like to revamp plantings in the front of our house on either side of the front door.Each space is about 10' by 4' and shady. Last year I planted some verigated rhododendrum and also have some of the large leafed hostas in there. I would like to add some large (easily grown) ferns.

Any suggestions?

How about Ostrich ferns? They get 3-5 feet tall & wide, you could put a few in there, they are beautiful ferns.
