I had some odd mushrooms grow in my backyard last summer here in phoenix, my landscape is all gravel so I thought it was weird that they popped up, maybe it was from the runoff water from my nearby plants.

They looked like a white chicken leg drumstick shape coming up from the gravel, and they were pretty dry looking, for awhile I let them be, but then the bottom started to pop open and it was constantly dropping red dusty spore type powder (like tons of it) so I eventually whacked them off and threw them away, although the red dust got all over me lol.

Anyone know the type of mushy these could be? Im wondering if they come back should I keep pulling them out or just let them do their thing
