Moss, Ferns & Cryptogams

A possible new specie or cultivar

While walking my dog through the woods today I found a fern on my property that I've never seen before. It has red wine like Merlot colored croziers and lime green pinnae on the larger stems. Currently it is about 10 inches tall at the highest. The younger croziers are all Merlot red including the pinnae. As a horticulterist I've never seen a fern like this in the wild or nursery other than A Lady in Red. It was growing in a group of Hay Scented ferns-Dennstaedia which is very common here in NE Pa where I live.

Is anyone familiar with any native fern here in the NE with this coloration or could this be an undiscovered specie or cultivar of a native specie? Thank you.

Red-stemmed lady fern might be what you are seeing.
