How do I fertilize my moss 'lawn'?

A shady area of my lawn turned into moss. I have been handpicking the weeds and grass out over the past few years. Is there anything I can give the moss to encourage it to grow fuller?

To wit, NO FERTILIZER! Try watering more, the cleaner the water, the better. PF
