A quick online check tells me that "trailing spikemoss" is probably Selaginella kraussiana.

Being a terminological purist, I'll first point out that this plant is not a moss. Nor is it a fern, though you'll often hear it called one. The Selaginellas, as well as Lycopodium (also called "clubmoss", "ground pine", etc.) and Isoetes (not something you usually run across at all) are off in their own phylum apart from the mosses and ferns.

Anyways. Selaginella kraussiana is commonly grown in greenhouses (and outside in Florida and similar areas, if I recall correctly), and though I haven't grown it it seems to just need bright indirect light and plenty of water. You can find it for sale at a number of places online. A search of "`selaginella kraussiana' price" on google, for instance, turns up a number of places. See the link below.
