acidifying soil in existing moss garden

veilchen

Greetings from Maine, where the soil is "naturally acidic", except in my yard.

My ph runs around 6.4, this location at one time was a farm. I started a moss garden on the N side of my house last summer; before placing the moss I added sulfur to the soil. Moss seems to be doing ok.

This week I am filling in the rest of the moss garden. I had sent dh to the farm store to get sulfur, he came home with aluminum sulfate. I spread this a few weeks ago, but after placing the moss yesterday I took a ph meter reading and the ph is at 6.5.

Is there anything I can mix with water to water in that won't hurt the moss to acidify the soil?
