Mushroom ID?

I found this mushroom in my back yard, it appears to have come up where an old poplar was ground up.. any idea what kind these are?

very difficult determing an ID from a picture...
Pluteus petasatus is know to grow on wood or in wood chip piles. don't see a wood chip pile in the pic. The gills do eventually turn pink like the specimen in the picture...so maybe
