Might you know??? pic with spores

Purchased this, in a mix of misc. ferns from Van Bourgondien in 2001. They were not labeled and I was to be surprised. I am now as I still do not know what it is. Have two photos I shot here; one, of the plant in situ, and the other, of its spores (which I'm now growing more plants of, under glass, inside). Might any of you, my GardenWeb Fern forum friends help me ID it? I would be much appreciated!

almost looks like a narrow leaved spleenwort to me.....

let us know if you get it figured out!

I think you're correct. And I think I have a shot of sori from a different fern in the bottom photo..SO SORRY!!!
The leaf structure of the fern you suggest does meet the looks of it. I will continue to check on it as the croziers begin to unfurl within weeks.

The second picture is Polystichum acrostichoides, Christmas fern. The first looks like Diplazium pycnocarpon (a.k.a. Athyrium pycnocarpon). If the sori look like those of Asplenium, it's definitely Diplazium pycnocarpon or a closely-related species (for instance, Diplazium angustifolium is very similar). A search online tells me that "narrow-leaved spleenwort" is a common name for Diplazium pycnocarpon, though this is a bit misleading since it isn't closely related to Asplenium. Anyways, compare the sori to the linked picture of Diplazium pycnocarpon.

Thank you, as well. I'm now certain (or quasi), that the top photo is of the Narrow-leaf Spleenwort Fern, "Diplazium pycnocarpon (a.k.a. Athyrium pycnocarpon)".
I will keep an eye on what I think the lower photo is of, to be certain of its name of Christmas fern. I think I know where the fern's croziers are now emerging... Let's hope.
