Our Deerfoor fern (Davallia fejeenis "Major") has grown up out of the top of it's hanging basket by over 2 inches - straight up. The "feet" are hanging all around the outside but not snug against the pot. We attempted to move it to a larger basket but that was putting a fair amount of strees on the "feet" when repositioning and we feared breakage. Can we leave it in this original pot or should we transplant to a larger basket? TIA.
