Anyone growing Pyrrosia piloselloides?

| Can Pyrrosia piloselloides be grown indoors? I grow bromeliads and orchids and other plants that require a decent amount of humidity and attention. I would be interested to hear any opinions on this.

| I'd never heard of this genus so i looked it up. Quite an interesting fern related to staghorn fern and with tiny reddish hairs. Seems suited to indoor culture if you can keep the humidity up. |

Yeah, it is an interesting fern. I hope it proves to be something I can grow indoors. It should at least be a worthwhile experiment. treehaus |

| I take it you can't grow it outdoors there? |

| I could try to grow it outdoors in the summer, but Pyrrosia piloselloides could not be grown outdoors year round where I live, in zone 5. Other ferns in the Pyrrosia genus are more hardy, Pyrrosia lingua, and Pyrrosia hastata are hardy to about zone 7 or 8 or something like that, but Pyrrosia piloselloides comes from south east Asia (Philippines, Malaysia), and is much less hardy.
