| I was at home depot today and there is a huge staghorn fern that was (MIS)marked as $13. Its not in the greatest shape and is in a hanging basket. I'd like to nurse it and "repot" it onto mounts. I hope its not too big of a job.
I really think I got a deal. I got them to take 10% off (not much, I know, but they offer a one year warranty, which is why they didn't take off more, or so they said). I paid just over $12 for it, and Im happy!!! Now I've got to figure out how to take care of it... Ok, Here are some pictures.... It really is a monster. It is much larger on one side and the hanging basket leans to one side... There is some damage to the fronds: And they are covered in dust: But I think once I get it cleaned up and mounted it will be beautiful! Does anyone have any tips?? |

| In spite of damage, you still got a pretty good deal. http://mgonline.com/stag.html is a good site to get info about staghorns and some tips on mounting them. Lainey |
