Not sure where you're located .While they will handle a frost,freezing is out lol. The main problem with them is the mount will eventually rot and they get gigantic. Though it takes a long time. Growing through the sides of a wire basket allows growing in a circle. If you go with a wood mount be sure it's redwood cypress or cement fiberboard.
i find P. bifuratum at all the box stores in my location .cheapest at Wallies.. If you're looking for some of the rarer types you'll probably have to go on line.
They will pup constantly but you can get new ones for under 5 bucks. gary

thanks for the information gary ..I'm in West Virginia ..so I know I'd have to take it in and out..course if they get too big i'll have to use a crane or something lol

I'm not having any luck at all in the box stores here.. probably because of my zone.. online, i found small ones for about 20 ..of course that's cheaper than driving to florida to get it for 5 lol
