caring for a fern?

I just got a fern and I am not sure what it needs/ likes. What sort of specifications does a fern have/ need ? Its a smaller one. I think its a boston but haven't any idea for real. It was in a small pot and kept drying out really fast so I re-potted it in a little bigger pot with more soil. Some of the leaves are drying up which I'm not sure what the cause of that is.

Any tips on fern keeping would be great!

If it's a Boston, it will have to be grown indoors come cold weather. If it is a hardy fern, plant it outside, water it well once a week, stand back and enjoy!
