I'm assuming this is a type of fern. I have clumps of them that look pretty. Are they considered a weed or is it worth transplanting. Right now they are growing in full sun but I'd prefer them in a place that has more dappled shade. Would that be ill advised? I have the little guys sprouting all over my lawn now after I mowed them over last fall. I think that may have been a mistake. :-/

This isn't the best picture because this was taken the same day that I pulled weeds, transplanted ferns and planted the hosta but this is the area I would like to incorporate these plants. This is only a small section of this 'shade garden' In total it's about 30-40 feet long and about 5 feet in depth.
