Growing moss on walls?

Hi,

I'd like to know if its possible to grow moss on a cinder block wall, and what, if any, prep work should be done beforehand. Is it as easy as just applying a slurry to the wall and keeping it damp?

Also, how would this fare over winter time? Does it need to be redone every year?
