I planted some Irish and Scottish Moss last year and noticed that after a while the center of each patch started to raise, like a mount. This area finally dried and died out. In the spring I removed the brown centers, resulting with holes in the middle. The holes more or less filled in, but not totally. I would prefer a carpet of green without the holes. What is the best way of dealing with these raised centers that are starting to form again?
