Spreading fern on one stem?

Need to identify... Central Ohio Zone 5b

In some old neighborhoods I see this fern I can't figure out.. a groundcover spreading fern that comes out of the on one thick stem. the stems are spaced apart from each other...not very tall, less than two feet... err, it's green and ferny... seems somewhat invasive

what is this fern?

Have a look at Bracken fern and see if that is a match.

thanks! ... they have to be some sort of Bracken fern that I'm seeing.

looked info about them and I don't really see anything about them be used in gardens, they seem to make a nice groundcover thou

It is usually too aggressive for a garden. But in the right place, I'm sure they're a good thing.
