help a newbie with my fern(pictures inside)

| i bought a healthy boston fern about a month ago. it was doing good until recently. i think i may have overwatered it, or maybe my living room doesnt have enough light/humidity im not sure. can someone tell me what happened to it? the leaves started turning brown/black and the plant seems very dry. i misted it every couple of days but i will say i went about a week without doing that. anyway here are the pics:
