Help! I purchased some Kimberly Queen Fern plants today, after the associate at Lowes said they can be planted inground. However, all postings refer to potted/hanging applications.

My question: Can I plant these ferns inground (semi-shady area) and expect them to do well (and winter over). I'm in central Michigan (not sure of 'zone'). Thanks!

You can grow them in the ground during the summer just like you would an annual. They will not winter over for you (in fact it is iffy to have them winter over where I am near Atlanta). You are probably in zone 5 - this plant is only hardy to zones 8 and higher.
