Licorice Fern

| I gathered some licorice fern from the oregon coast range and planted it in the ground in my yard in portland and it has a great color and I love it, but it isnt producing new fronds. Will this fern produce new fronds while planted in the ground or does it need to on a tree or a rock to grow and reproduce? |
