Japanese Beech Ferns

Just got a few Japanese Beech Ferns because on the net they said the fern will grow in "dry" shade... but the plant marker says in the description about the Japanes Beech Fern that it likes "moist" conditions. which is a more apt description? will the fern still look okay in dry shade conditions, and just spread much slower?

so can I expect in to grow in the shade in the area around a big pine, given reasonable care and a decent planting? I don't want to water too much because of the tree roots. do I have any chance of getting the Japanese Beech Fern is spread as groundcover in this situation?

just looking at the plant it looks very invasive and easy top grow even just in the pot, they have sprouts coming out of the bottom holes in the pot, but is suppossed to be easy to pull out wayward rhizomes.

if the plant is so easy to grow, why is it not more common?
