A whitish-yellowish fungus (?) is growing on the soil of my west-facing garden.

What fungus is it?

RE: Identify this fungus

It's one of the very common slime 'molds', one that is usually referred to as the Dog Vomit Fungus. Slime molds are neither molds nor are they fungi, but a unique category of organism that simply digests dust, debris, organic compounds, and is considered part of the beneficial recycling team.

Not harmful to you, your plants, your soil, or your pets.
