| I got two of these babies out in my front flower bed that came from WalMart. I can't find the labels to them at the moment but I believe that they are a Blechnum species. The link is to one that looks pretty close. |
Here is a link that might be useful: Blechnum

| I agree - maybe Blechnum magellanicum. Can you spot the two fronds with very narrow pinnae (leaflets)? - one at 11 o'clock and the other at 2 o'clock in your picture? These are the fertile, sporing fronds - I think all blechnums have them, separate from the normal fronds. Glad to hear you like ferns - me too! Have a look at this link. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.sheilatiffin.co.uk/im ages/B.magellanicum012.jpg%3F520&imgrefurl=http://www.sheilatiffin.co. uk/page_43.html&usg=__zyKjgmkrDVVoxKmt3OMykSCmkzI=&h=640&w=480&sz=63&h l=en&start=9&sig2=Im_fH6dVF4WO69OcmBDzVA&zoom=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=_jtV hTdXXwDC6M:&tbnh=137&tbnw=103&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dblechnum%2Bmagellanic um%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG%26rlz%3D1W1GPMG_en%26tbs%3Disch:1&ei=mH F9TOH5F4-SOLL0hYIE Have fun, Maurice. |
