When I was in Sweden in 93 - I went mushroom hunting with a girlfriend for these mushrooms that grew in a conifer woods - They were toxic until you let them dry out - I forget the name of these mushrooms - I went with a Swedish woman then and her relatives made this gravy(sauce) out of earlier dried mushrooms - we had it with reindeer ( don't worry not Santa's) - This was one of the best things I have ever eaten. This mushroom and the hunting of it is a favorite Swedish pastime - If you know the name of it or think you know what it is let me know.
