What is this bright yellow fungus growing in my yard?

My wife poured out some left over pico de gallo sauce on this spot by our deck, and now it's growing this weird, bright yellow mushroom/fungus. Any idea what it is? Could it be harmful? The tallest ones are about 2.5" tall. Just noticed this yesterday when they were 1.5" tall. It's been raining (lightly) almost constantly the last couple days, so I imagine these are pretty ideal growing conditions.

I think I mat have identified it as Leucocoprinus birnbaumii. There was a thread about this here on GardenWeb: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/crypto/msg0512544617019.html

Apparently it's a common mushroom that grows in indoor houseplants or outside when the conditions are right.

Here is another picture from today (taken 30 hours after the previous picture).

This one comes in yellow as well as other colors (and shapes). Amanita muscaria guessowii

Here is a link that might be useful: There seems to be a wide variety of shapes and colors
