Mushrooms In Potted Plants

I live in Southern California and I have a potted palm tree that keeps growing yellow mushrooms with black dots on them. Does anyone know if these mushrooms are poisonenous to dogs? I cant seem to keep these mushrooms from growing (literally overnight).

Would it be possible for you to post a picture of these mushrooms? There's a yellow mushroom that is commonly found in potting mixes, but those black spots don't ring a bell.

Regardless, you should consider any unidentified mushroom as poisonous.

Sounds like it could be a slime mold(myxomycetes) but we really need a pic
