Dryopteris ferns - how are yours doing?

Mine are looking excellent, even at this time of year! They're always top performers, right alongside the Western swordfern - in fact, I alternate them to create a fern border to the lawn. I recommend them to folks with dry, oak woodland conditions. I think I have about twenty of these tucked here and there (I started to count this morning, but I got distracted somewhere between the backyard and the front).

I also have a young fern that I started from a frondless crown this spring. I think I'll keep this one in a pot. In the first pic (below), you should be able to see more little fronds unfurling from the crown.
