Once again, I bought a plant without reading the attached info. My plan at my new home is to have ferns in the front planter. To that end, I picked up two KQF at 50% off, hoping to get a head start on my "fern garden". Now, after reading the info and investigating here, it looks like it won't last my cold KS winters.

Opinions/experience?

That is true, it will not be hardy for you. It is not even hardy in zone 7. You could dig them up and overwinter them in a pot in a garage or basement?
