What kind of fern is this?

I originally planted some chinese pepper seeds and now find myself with this fern. Any idea what this is? At night the the plant folds down and during the day it looks like the following attached picture. Also, recently it has begun to show some red flowers budding from the plant and has been growing rather rapidly.

It is not a fern (ferns don't have flowers, by the way). If no one here can identify it, post your query on the Name that Plant forum.

Looks to be some kind of Mimosa to me,very nice shrubs/trees, from Africa I think.
