orange octopus mushrooms

| i have these really weird orange mushrooms coming up in the front yard that appear to have legs and a hat with a hole in it. they appear to grow about 4 to 6 inches a day. can anyone tell me what they are? i am going to try to post links to the pics...

| You have a common stink horn. Flies like them. they don't really smell unless you stick your nose up to the brown slimy end that forms. |

| That one is commonly called the Octopus Stinkhorn, Clathus columnatus. |
