| I want to put a foxtail fern in a basket. Will it be best to go into a solid plastic basket or can it grow in an open basket with a coconut liner? TIA Sheila |

| I suspect that the agressive root system might break out of the coir liner after a few months. You might try posting this in the Container Forum or Houseplant Forum. It's not a fern, rather Asparagus meyeri. I've not grown the foxtail but have experience with other asparagus ferns. I'd put it in a solid container. But get other opinions from the other forums. |
