What kind of mushroom?

If you know what kind of mushroom and what substrate it likes to grow on (standing dead wood?, tree roots?, tree bark?, buried dead wood, decaying logs, other mushrooms, etc) then you can try sprinkling the spores in an area with that material. Mother nature may or may not co operate and it can take up to several years to see mushrooms.

Commercial growers use complicated systems involving pressure cookers and sterile labs to grow the spores into spawn which is then inoculated into the final substrate. See the link below for some more info
