ID for evergreen plant among haircap moss

Hi folks! I need some help identifying the small evergreen plants among the haircap moss and the grayling mushroom in this picture. I thought they might be some kind of sapling but I'm not sure. These plants spread like strawberries, sending out runners (i.e. many plants share common roots). The surrounding area is acidic and has many late bog succession plants like blueberry, mosses, ferns, black spruces, etc.

I'm in zone 6.

Looks like Diphasiastrum complanatum judging by the branch constrictions, although I would expect D. digitatum to be more common in your zone.
