Need help to ID moss growing EVERYWHERE here in NE Tampa bay area,.Watched a show about a garden in Raleigh, NC and now obsessed with it. Have moss on rocks in my yard (limestone, lava) that have moved with me 3 times.Moss flourishing in both sun and shade. Gonna try some artsy stuff and see how it goes. Check out the pics and lemme know. Thanks!

RE: Moss Identification

I am going to take a guess here. Note I am only a blogger and gardener at a Japanese Garden certainly not a Botanist or moss expert!

Could it be sidewalk moss (Bryum caespiticium)?

It looks like it to me and its growing conditions that you describe sound about right.
