I'm trying to develop a new material that is part synthetic and part natural.

I was hoping to grow any of the above onto something that appeals the same as stone, I can implant this in the material but was wondering about growth..

How do these grow usually?
I don't know anything really about gardening/growing,
how do i get lichen, algae, or moss? and how do you suggest growing these outside of a natural environment?
