Moss milkshakes???

Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if the DIY recipes online for growing moss 'anywhere' actually work?? I live in the PNW and want to try....the recipies that I have seen include blending moss with an acidic carrier such as yogurt or butter milk and water then painting it on to rocks or terracotta pots...just wondering if anyone has had any luck with this method or any others... THANK YOU!!!!

I put dried moss in a blender with water a bunch of times and poured it on stuff. It kind of wakes up when it's wet but it gets washed around in the rain. Yogurt and buttermilk with moss would make green mold or algae.

Actually moss might grow out of the mold if there are any spores in it. As for having an acidic carrier I'm not sure what that would do.
