Moss, Ferns & Cryptogams

winter care???

I have four large ferns in baskets that I keep on my front porch. I would like to know how to keep them thru the winter. I do not have room in my house to bring them in for the winter , but I was wondering if they would make it if I gave them a good "haircut" for the winter and put them in a well lit stockroom in the back of my beauty shop. They would get lots of indirect sunlight in this room.
