Great puffball recipe!

My sister, brother in law and my daughter were out riding horses and found several giant puffballs today. One was about the size of a soccer ball and really white inside.

I'd never cooked them before, but heck everything's good deep fried! So I took a couple eggs and scrambled them in a bowl with a shot of milk, dipped the puffball pieces in there, and then coated them in a 50/50% mix of seasoned italian bread crumbs and all purpose flour with a dash of salt.

These were just great deep fried! Our favorite shape to cut them into was sticks, they looked like mozzarella sticks. And they were great dipped in spaghetti sauce.

We're trying to freeze some of the breaded sticks for short term storage.

Thought if anyone had found or felt like looking for puffballs, they might like this recipe.
