Does anyone have experience growing these as a cut flower in a cold weather area (zone 5/6)? Can it be done? Is it worth it? Can the corms be dug to use a second year? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Kirk,
Look at the last post by flowerfarmer under, "fillers to use other than euphoriba marginata". It explains how and why to grow freesia's. That whole post of Trish's is very informative.

RE: Freesia

I grew them outdoors one spring in SW Michigan. They did actually bloom, but not well, and the stems were short. I won't try them again that way.
