Euphorbia Marginata 'Kilimanjaro'

OK, tell me if I'm completely nuts! I grew this last year and several of the plants went to seed and dispersed in the bed. I thought that this plant was frost sensitive, hence the whole 'dont transplant until after danger of frost, etc...' So, here we are in March, still experiencing pretty tough nighttime temps in the upper 20's and 30's and lo and behold, the bed is smothered in these little euphorbia seedlings that have no problem being frozen solid!! Have I got a new hybrid? Should I be yelling from my rooftop, proclamations of greatness, or have I just missed the botanical boat with the perfectly reasonable explanation aboard? Feeling a little perplexed in Oregon.... Kat
