Bright pink flower with black center--identify

Hi,

I am planning my wedding and found a bouqet I really love. There is a flower I am having trouble identifying. It is bright pink with a black center. It is an open type flower with petals that are more rounded than a daisy but not as round as a poppy. I could upload a picture if I knew how..

Any help indentifying my mystery flower would be hugely appreciated!

I wonder if it is an anemone...If it is single it is probably a De caen anemone and if it is Double it is probably one of the St Bridget mix. THis would be a lovely flower for a wedding!

Anemones are Mediterranean flowers that love long, cool (NOT COLD) winters and warm dry summers. They grow with winter rains and sit dormant during the dryness of summer. Some folks in colder climates have a little luck with anemones planted out in spring (after worst frost) and then trashed and replaced the following year.

Great flowers here in California.
