So your Obedient plant isn't being so obedient??? I am sorry, I couldn't resist! I have no idea which is best--I grew some several yrs ago and they were very unruly.. But they were nice for cutting...

I'll say it's not being obedient. Last year I mulched the few plants I had with oak tree bark that I scooped up out of the wood room and the patch has like exploded into new plants. I must be a 6 foot by 8 foot patch now. The flowers wern't that big either. Just small pink blooms on the stalks. I think it would make a good bio-mass source.
I don't raise hogs any more but it looks like it would be good for hogs to root in.
