I planted a garden with a fragrant/cut garden seed package last year. This year mostly dianthus came up but also this large plant. I thought it was a weed but decided to wait to see what happened with it. It gets about 3-4 feet high and has yellow flowers around the top that last for about a day.

I don't know how to post a picture of it but I have them.

Did the seed packet list the types of flower seeds included? Maybe you could figure out what it is by the process of elimination?

Thanks, but I finally found it. There is a site for plant ID that helps you figure out what you have with a checklist.

It turns out it's an evening primrose.
