Ranunculus where to buy bulbs

I am in need of some ranunculus for next spring so I can fill the gaps of when flowers are blooming. I am going to try to grow it again, so I need to know from anyone out there what is the best variety- LaBelle or Tecolote or is there any others and where do you buy your bulbs I need at least 1000. Maybe each variety blooms at different times?

RE: Ranunculus where to buy bulbs

I order mine through my sales rep @ Fred C. Gloeckner and order the 'LaBelle' Series. I'm going to try the 'Super Green Mix' for next year too. Flowers have a green center, they're cool. The 3/5cm come 500 in a package either in straight colours, a pastel mix or a mix and the 5/7cm come 250 per package. A 1,000 of the 3/5 will cost about $240 + shipping and the 5/7 $390 per 1,000. The Gloeckner bulb facility is in Clackamus Oregon, so your shipping wouldn't be very much. You are in the NW states, right?
If you need the colours available, email me and I'll send you the list from my rep. Bulb orders need to be done this month to ensure you get what you want.
