Can I grow a peony from a flower cutting???

I'm new to the planting from a cutting thing so please bear with me. No idea if this is even feasible so would really appreciate any advice. I've got a bouquet of peonies, my absolute favourite flower, which is now wilting. My brother-in-law has planted a tree for his grandmother from a cutting and it is now huge and very healthy. Can I grow a plant from a flower cutting??? Many thanks for the help.

Nope. You will need a piece of the root with a bud eye on it. Most are sold with a minimum of 3 bud eyes. It is worth it to get the root from a vendor or friend and take good care of it as it will give you flowers for years if you do.
